Macao, 23rd<\/sup> November\n2019<\/strong> – <\/strong>In order to celebrate the 70th<\/sup> anniversary\nof the founding of the People\u2019s Republic of China and the 20th<\/sup> anniversary\nof the Handover of Macao (\u201cDouble Celebration\u201d), Macao International Culture\nand Sports Industries Association (MICSIA) held the \u201cDouble Celebration Tennis Charity\nMatch\u201d at the tennis court of Grand Lapa Hotel Macao as well as a celebration gala\ndinner on the same evening at Studio City Macau. The charity fundraising will\nbe used to nurture the future tennis elite for Macao.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cDouble\nCelebration Tennis Charity Match\u201d was honored to gain support from the Liaison\nOffice of The Central People’s Government in the Macao S.A.R.<\/em> and the Office\nof the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic\nof China in the Macao S.A.R., <\/em>as well as people from all sectors of society.\nTwo teams of 28 people competed in the form of doubles in the tennis match,\nnamely: China Liaison Office Team <\/em>and Macao International Culture and\nSports Team. <\/em>After a round of exciting competition, Team China Liaison\nOffice won by the result of 4 versus 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Patricia Cheong, President\nof MICSIA said: \u201cMacao International Culture and Sports Industries Association has\nattached great importance to the sports and culture industries, of which we have\nlong been actively promoting and developing. Therefore, part of the funds\nraised in this charity match will contribute to the development of tennis in\nthe Macao society and support the youth tennis training in Macao.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheque presentation<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

As a\ncharity event, part of the funds raised in the \u201cDouble\nCelebration Tennis Charity Match\u201d will be targeted at high school\nplayers in Macao who are interested in the path of professional tennis. Through\nprofessional and efficient training, as well as the connection with the Guangdong-Hong\nKong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Greater Bay Area) via MICSIA, the future tennis\ntalents can intensively exchange with tennis players in the greater region and\nimprove their skills. The MICSIA will select potential tennis athletes together\nwith Hou Kong Secondary School, hiring professional coaches to evaluate the athletes\nduring the training and designing tailored training courses. Meanwhile, the\nfuture talents are suggested to participate in various open competitions in\nMacao and the Greater Bay Area, thereby improving their tennis skills and\nbroadening their horizons. It is hoped that the young talent can make full use\nof their own advantages and the result of their training programs, bringing\nglory to the Macao sports world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
